Here is a fun St. Patrick’s Day brooch that you can make in 30 minutes. No sewing machine required (but you do have to hand sew). Make one for yourself or for someone special in your life; your daughter, mom, coworker, kids, sister, aunt, teacher, friend, the possibilities are endless. And try making it in different colors for different occasions! It doesn’t take too many materials, and the ones that you do use are pretty inexpensive so it will be a cinch to make a handful of them.

any suggestions???? please help! its for class presidency.

any holiday…valentines, st patricks, earth day…etc….

grade activity that doesnt distract calss time.

Competitions between grades or classes are always good. Like a can food drive for thanksgiving. Or toys for tots, collecting toys to give away to needy families at christmas. Each grade tries to collect the most.
Or door decorating contests. Homerooms decorate their door with a holiday theme. Can be done during homeroom or before or after school.

I’m a college student with VERY meager funds, but as St. Patrick’s is coming up and I’d like to do something fun with my friends, do you have any cheap-to-make Irish recipes? I’d be feeding around 6, and it could be something dessert-y if that would be easier.

Bread pudding, maybe? Is that Irish-y? I’m not 21, so anything involving alcohol is out /:

My daughter was born on March 17 and although she will only be 3, I still want to have some fun with the "Pot of Gold" and Leprechaun theme (especially since St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday this year and provides the perfect opportunity to hold her party the same day).

There will be people of all ages, so any ideas you have (other than getting flat on your face drunk, which I understand is a tradition) would be helpful.

With 3 year old’s in attendance.. how about a scavenger hunt with simple clues that would ultimately lead them to the "pot of gold"! (Of course an adult would have to be there to read the clues). In the "pot of gold" could be gold foil bags filled with goodies (small toys & treats) with each invited child’s name on them so each would win their own treasure.

You could also incorporate rainbows – because we all know there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

How about a Leprechan costume suggestion or "wearing o’ the green’ on the party invitations?
